A New Era
Dr. Michael T. Benson will begin his appointment as WVU's 27th president in July, bringing three decades of academic and administrative experience in higher education. He is the current president of Coastal Carolina University.
Benson's hiring marks the culmination of a national search that began last May.

The WVU Experience
The biggest standout of [Immunology and Medical Microbiology] is just how close the members of this major are. Not only the students, but the faculty as well. Smaller class sizes give us more opportunities to interact with everyone and develop relationships with each other, TAs, lab techs and professors.
